Let us start our lesson saying some prayers and continue to work on memorizing "O my Lord! O my Lord! I am a child of tender years."
Thou Art My Lamp
The light of the love of the Creator never stops shining in our hearts. As this light grows brighter, the warmth of our love and kindness becomes even stronger. It becomes so strong that those around us can feel the warmth of our love through our joyful and kind deeds and our bright and shining faces. They feel drawn to the glow that lights up our hearts and gives us the superpower called radiance.
Let's use the interactive Word Games Page to learn the meaning of the words in the quote and help with memorizing it.
Materials needed: paper plate, colored tissue paper, transparent Contact paper, paint, marker, pipe cleaner or string, scissors and hole punch.
Follow the instructions in the video. As an option you can paint the outside of the paper plate frame.
Divide the children into pairs, each child facing his or her partner. Now ask one child in each pair to begin moving, while the other child mirrors his or her movements. After a fewminutes, the partners can switch roles. You can also have them mirror facial expressions rather than move ments. Next, have one child in each pair stand behind the other. As the one in the front moves, the one behind should shadow his or her movements.
